December 1, 2018

(Norman, OK) Kiss of the Wolf will host an open studio on Saturday, December 1. The party will benefit the Artworks, the Norman Children’s Chorus and the Children’s Art Network.

Kiss owner and designer, Lori Bacigalupi, will give guests a behind the scenes look at the studio. Throughout the event, Friends of Kiss and the Children’s Art Network will be modeling the Kiss of the Wolf collection. Refreshments, including wine and hors d’oeuvres, will be served. Special guests will include Lori’s friend and fellow Art-to-Wear designer Carter Smith and Artworks and Norman Children’s Chorus founder Becky Clinton.

Getting children involved in the arts at an early age can instill a lifelong appreciation for the arts. They are the ticket buyers of the future. –  Becky Clinton

Special offers during the Event

A special selection of Kiss of the Wolf garments will be offered at a 50-75% discount, with the proceeds donated. Approximate prices for this group will be $225-400 for tops and tunics and $550-750 for jackets. Other Kiss of the Wolf garments in the studio will be available for purchase at the regular price, with some of the proceeds donated. Carter Smith will also offer some of his designs at reduced prices, donating 30% of the proceeds.

All donations will benefit the Children’s Art Network, a non-profit organization which includes Artworks and the Norman Children’s Chorus. The programs are open to all area children, regardless of experience or their parents’ ability to pay.

Artworks teaches dance, visual arts, music and theater to 8- to 12-year-olds as a summer day-camp. Faculty members are professional artists and teachers, many of whom work in the Oklahoma Arts Council Artist-In-Residence Program. It has brought art to thousands of children since it began and is in crisis due to loss of funding.

The Norman Children’s Chorus is a community choir for students in grades 3 through 8. Over 20 different schools, including public, private and home schools, are represented. More information about them may be found on their website.

The Children’s Art Network was founded in 1992.
