(Norman, OK) Kiss of the Wolf will host an open studio party on Saturday, December 1. The party will be a benefit for Artworks and the Norman Children’s Chorus. Kiss owner, Lori Bacigalupi, will give guests a behind the scenes look at the studio.
Artworks teaches dance, visual arts, music and theater to 8- to 12-year-olds. It is done as a summer day-camp. Faculty members are professional artists and teachers, many of whom work in the Oklahoma Arts Council Artist-In-Residence Program. The camp is open to all children in Central Oklahoma, regardless of experience or their parents’ ability to pay. It has brought art to thousands of children since it began and is in crisis due to loss of funding,
Getting children involved in the arts at an early age can instill a lifelong appreciation for the arts. They are the ticket buyers of the future. – Becky Clinton
More details will be posted here as they become available. All proceeds will benefit Artworks and the Norman Children’s Chorus, a community chorus now celebrating its 28th year. The programs are part of the Children’s Art Network (CAN), a non-profit organization that was founded in 1992 by Becky Clinton.
