The Women of Kiss Series is dedicated to the women who have chosen to wear Kiss of the Wolf for their most important events. For the past 40 years, they have supported us, informed our designs, and enriched our lives.
Who is the Woman of Kiss?
She is an independent, successful woman with a unique sense of style. She is creative and practical. She travels well and expects the same of her clothing.
The Woman of Kiss sees her wardrobe as an investment. Our flattering cuts make her feel comfortable and confident, and the classic silhouettes never go out of style. Our silk garments are opulent yet durable, and our craftsmanship is impeccable.
Kiss suits her lifestyle. Like the women who wear it, Kiss of the Wolf is elegant and versatile. We travel well.
Our clients include famous women like Pulitzer Prize-winning author and poet Toni Morrison and actress Bea Arthur, but there are other, equally extraordinary women. These are the Women of Kiss. They are lawyers and artists, administrators and architects, and more. They choose to wear our clothing for the most important events in their lives, and for that, we are both humbled and grateful.
The upcoming series is a tribute to these women who inspire us and inform our designs. It’s about all of you, The Women of Kiss.
In our series: Anne Whiston Spirn, Alice Corning and Josephine Zeitlin, Moya Stone, Barbara Ruben Migeon, Jane Roth, and Carolynn King-Richmond.
Laurie: I remember my 1st “Kiss of the Wolf” a skirt, jacket & shell bought at an outdoor market in downtown Houston, Texas in the 80’s!!!!! I still kept that fabric even though I have long outgrown the tiny 8 – of my mid years. Since then, in traveling I find you at boutiques in D.C., Scottsdale & Santa Fe. Love your fabulous works & new looks. I am looking at the Web these days – not traveling yet. What about your on line shopping ?? Or is it all made to order/ also price range now?? Maybe you have on line shopping with a Boutique?? Many thanks for making Art to Wear so wonderful & Timeless……..

Hi!
Please forgive me for not replying sooner. It’s lovely to hear from you, and I deeply appreciate your kind words.
My goodness. We go back so many years. Those days informed and were the structure that enabled my wonderful career. Thank you so much for being there.
We are being super cautious around here. That is why I missed your email. But we are slowly developing an on line presence, and would be thrilled to make something for you.
Please have a look at our website, and let me know what appeals to you. I can send you sample swatches of fabrics, and also garments for you to try.
We are very happy to tailor make something for you. We can also get the ball rolling by having a phone conversation. Just let me know what is best for you.
Stay well.
Lori
Our women of Kiss blog was to be an homage to some of my loved customers. Please know that this is such a tiny percentage of the amazing women whom I’ve been privileged to know over the years.
I recognize accomplishment in so many of you. But I recognize something which is more important to me. Heart. Awareness.
How can I thank you?
If you weren’t the subject of our blog, know that my respect for you and inspiration from you is no less.
In some ways a quiet focus and appreciation is even more meaningful.
Love. And I mean that,
Lori
I went back to read one of the blog stories, the one about Barbara, and was dismayed to find that only the comments remain. Would it be possible to leave the stories of the wonderful women of Kiss on the website?
